Description of the Summer School 

The Solidarity Summer School is an international education programme, offered to both Polish and foreign students. Each edition is composed of five days of classes. The Summer School's online presence will enable it to be available to a broad audience – allowing the lessons of the Polish experience of Solidarity to be shared further. Throughout the course of the Summer School, students will encounter philosophical thought and the Polish experience of "Solidarity". 
The Polish Solidarity experience is one of the most well-known contributions of Polish culture to the heritage of humanity. Participants in the summer school will learn about the historical and philosophical background of Solidarity. They will consider to what extent it is an element of European identity. Furthermore, students will discuss the potential for transferring the Polish Solidarity experience to other countries and cultures.
Classes will be conducted remotely in the form of lectures and workshops in small groups. The team of internationally recognized professors and experts will conduct classes on topics such as:

Summer School dates

The Summer School will take place from June 30 to July 4, 2025 and it will be held online

 

Participation fee

Participation in the Summer School is paid. The cost is 2,000 PLN (c.a. 475 EUR or 530 USD)

 

Conditions for completing the Summer School

The conditions for completing the Summer School are

1. Participation in the classes held as part of the Summer School (the permissible absence limit is 50% of the total hours of each class);

2. A positive evaluation of the project related to the topics covered during the Summer School.
